Monthly Drawing   Key Bank Take 5 Scholarship Drawing Contest One $5,000 scholarship awarded at the end of each month from February through June. Enter one time each month for 5 chances to win. If you have any questions, please call Key Bank at 1-800-KEY-LEND (1-800-539-5363). All entries will become the property of KeyBank, and the contact information may be used for future phone, mailings or email contact. Go to www.key.com/win to register.
Monthly Drawing   Sallie Mae College Answer Scholarship Giveaway $1,000 scholarship contest; entrants must first register with College Answer. Go to www.collegeanswer.com 
Quarterly   Writers of the Future Contest Three cash prizes each quarter ranging from $500 to $1,000; one annual grand prize of $5,000. The Contest has four quarters, beginning on October 1, January 1, April 1 and July 1. The year will end on September 30. To be eligible for judging in its quarter, an entry must be postmarked no later than midnight on the last day of the quarter. To be eligible, entries must be works of prose, science fiction or fantasy, up to 17,000 words in length. Go to www.writersofthefuture.com/ for the contest rules and entry information.

    Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund Awards average $2,200; merit based, and given to students who demonstrate financial need and who are enrolled in one of the 47 TMSF member Historically Black College and Universities. Applicants must be US citizens, demonstrate commitment to academic excellence and community service with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a combined verbal/math 1100 SAT score, or a 25 on the ACT.     Pomona College Pomona College offers scholarships in their financial aid package. Visit www.pomona.edu for details and application.
    Recreational Boating Industries Educational Foundation Boating Industry Scholarship Awards range from $500 to $2,500. Applicants must be enrolled at any accredited Michigan college or university; awards are based on applicant qualifications including academic accomplishments, financial need and value to the boating industry. Anyone can apply for the scholarships, but priority is given to applicants who have a direct relationship to the Michigan boating industry and/or have a desire to pursue a career in the boating industry. Check website   College Matters Scholarship Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 and number of awards depends on amount of royalties/donations. Seniors who demonstrate academic success, leadership in extracurricular activities, community service, and financial need can apply. 25 Apr   Ayn Rand Fountainhead Essay Contest Awards range from $50 to $10,000. Open to juniors and seniors; applicants must submit an 800 word minimum (1600 word maximum) essay on one of three topics provided on the website: www.aynrand.org/contests .
30 Apr   Holocaust Remembrance Project Essay Contest Scholarships range from $2,500 to $10,000; other prizes range from $300 to $500. Students in grades 9 - 12 may submit an essay of no more than 1,200 words answering the writing prompt provided on the website www.holocaust.hklaw.com/ .
28 Jun   American Polish Engineering Association Scholarships Four scholarships of $1,000 each; applicants must be of Polish origin or descent, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and plan to enroll in a curriculum focusing on a field of engineering or allied science. 1 May   Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. Four scholarships available for students entering college in the fall. You must write a personal statement essay and submit an application. Applications are available online at www.cbcfinc.org. The scholarships are listed under CBC Spouses.
1 May   Skandalaris Family Foundation Numerous Grants starting at $2000. Requirements: Completed applications with appropriate signatures, official school transcript with school seal, and a recent wallet size photograph. Criteria: Senior with a 3.5 GPA or higher, involvement in school, athletic and community service, minimum ACT of 27 and/or SAT of 1800, acceptance letter of an accredited U.S. college or university, a citizen of the U.S. Go to www.skandalaris.com for application.
1 May   MAPSA Scholarship The Michigan Association of School Personnel Administrators (MASPA) sponsors an annual scholarship award of $500 to a minority student who has plans to get a degree in education.  This scholarship is also renewable for an additional three years.  Applications for this scholarship are now being accepted and there is a May 1 deadline.  The scholarship winner will be chosen and notified in June. 1 May   Chrysler Participating students are encouraged to share a personal account or defining moment that underscores Detroit’s impact on their life. There will be 15 scholarships distributed and the sum of all awards totals $28,500. Go to  www.myjourneythroughtheD.com.

16 May   University of Michigan Ann Arbor Delta Upsilon Undergraduate Scholarship Four $500 awards; applicants need not join Delta Upsilon or any other Greek society to be eligible. Applicants must be male, entering U of M Ann Arbor in Fall 2007, and demonstrate involvement in and out of the classroom. Applications and instructions are available in the CRC.
30 May   Miss Michigan Teen USA $34,000 full four-year scholarship to Baker College; winner competes for $100,000 cash and prizes at the Miss Teen USA pageant. Entrants must be15 - 19 years old, single (never married nor have given birth to a child), a US citizen, and at least 6 month resident of Michigan. 31 May   Tau Kappa Epsilon Western Michigan University $750 Scholarship available to any high school male that plans to attend Western Michigan University and is considering joining a Fraternity. Application is available in the CRC.
31 May   Academic Finance Corporation Scholarship Sweepstakes Two $5,000 scholarships and sixteen $2,500 scholarships to first-year students who will be enrolled in an accredited college or trade school for the fall 2007 semester. Varies   Zinch.com Scholarships Awards range from $1,000 to $20,000; must register to Zinch.com, awards granted based on information submitted in student profile. 31 May   Adray Community Hockey League Mike and Louise Adray Scholarship Award amount unspecified. Applicants must have played at least one season on an ACHL team and must be enrolled in a Michigan College, University, Jr. College, Business School or Certified Training School. Mike Nash Memorial Scholarship

1 Jun   American Ground Water Trust Scholarships Several scholarships (Amtrol Inc. Scholarship $1,000-$2,000, Baroid Scholarship $1,000-$2,000, Ben Everson Scholarship $2,500, and the Thomas M. Stetson Scholarship $1,500) are available to current high school seniors who intend to pursue a career in ground water science, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and have completed a ground water/environmental project in or outside of school.
