College Preparation Program

The guidance office has built a website to assist families in many aspects related to college preparation. Website features include college searches, scholarship and summer program information, and application tracking. This website can only be accessed by parents, students, and faculty from Grosse Pointe South High School. To access the site, you need the following information:

     To Register to the website:

     Printable version of Registration Instructions

		1.	Go to www.prephq.com (a direct link is also available via the counseling department page)
			You should see this screen:
		2.	Type gpsouth in the School/Program ID box (1st box on the left on the PrepHQ site)
		3.	Hit "Enter" or "Login". This will take you to the Grosse Pointe South-specific database
			You will see this screen:
		4.	Hit "Click here to Register"
			in the gray box on the left of the screen under the Username and Password prompt boxes
		5.	Type in where prompted:
			a.  Student Last Name
			b.  Student ID Number
		6.	Hit "Continue to Next Step." Complete the registration questions.
		7.	Create a username and password   WRITE THEM DOWN

     You must be REGISTERED in PrepHQ to Log in. To register, see steps 1-7 above.

     At www.prephq.com, enter in the three prompt boxes on the left of the screen:

                 •  School/Program ID: gpsouth

                 •  Username: Created at Registration

                 •  Password: Created at Registration

     Website Features:

      •  Search for colleges based on data from South High School

      •  Understand what test scores and grades are needed for admission to certain schools

      •  Search for scholarships

      •  Access important dates and information (college events, standardized tests, and more)

      •  Check on the status of your college application
